Temporary Assistance provides financial assistance including food, shelter, fuel, food stamps, Medicaid and HEAP through Social Services.

This health center provides a wide range of safe, reliable health care — and the majority is preventive, primary care, which helps prevent unintended pregnancies through contraception, reduce the spread of sexually transmitted infections through testing and treatment, and screen for cervical and other cancers. Caring physicians, nurse practitioners, and other staff take time to talk with clients, encouraging them to ask questions in an environment that millions have grown to trust.

Credo’s Outpatient Chemical Dependency Services provide a full range of confidential counseling services in Jefferson County and Lewis County. The goal of the multidisciplinary treatment team is to provide the highest level of care using a person centered approach.

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. We are self-supporting through our own contributions. No insurance required. No fees or dues. St. Lawrence Valley Renewal House

An empowering resource for survivors and families of domestic violence and sexual assault. The Renewal House has a 24/7 hotline as well as resources in their center. Office hours are 8am-5pm. The Renewal House's services are free and confidential for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. There is an intake process for a residential stay and the stay may be up to 180 days. Non-residential stays can last as long as one needs assistance for. Clients are required to present a valid ID for both residential and non-residential visits.
